Smok is one of the leading brands in the vaping industry. This company is behind some timeless vaping devices such as the Smok Alien 220W Kit. Smok recently released strip and mesh coils for its TFV12 Prince tank. In this review, we will look at these coils, which have been described as the “future of sub ohm tanks.”
Smok is one of the most innovative companies in the industry. However, this company is not the first to release strip and mesh coils. A few companies including Joyetech, IJOY, and Eleaf have already beat Smok to that. With that said, it is not too late to join the new trend.
Strip and mesh coils are still new to the most vapers. Unlike traditional coils, strip and mesh coils look like little nets. These coils can handle higher temperatures than regular coils. Also, they provide a richer flavor and bigger clouds of vapor when it’s used with strip and mesh coils compared with traditional coils. Let’s take a closer look at these coils:
Smok TFV12 Prince Mesh Coil
The V12 Prince mesh coil is made of stainless steel. The coil has a resistance of 0.15 ohms. It has a wattage range of 40 to 80 watts, but it is best at 60 to 70 watts.
The TFV12 mesh coil has a wider heating area than traditional coils and even the TFV12 strip coil. Also, this coil has a longer lifespan. Due to its broad surface area which heats up evenly, so to get large clouds of vapor and a blast of flavor when using this coil.
Smok TFV12 Prince Strip Coil
The V12 Prince strip coil is made of kanthal. This is a 0.15-ohm coil. This coil can be vaped at any level between 40 to 100 watts. However, the coil’s sweet spot somewhere between 80 to 90 watts.
This coil has a larger heating area than traditional coils, and it heats up quickly. The porous structure of this coil promotes absorption and allows you to savor the taste of your e-juice to the fullest. The Smok TFV12 will provide the best flavor. The vapor production of this coil is pretty good too. The revolutionary design of the TFV12 Prince strip coil sets it apart from all other coils on the market. This coil can handle high temps without giving a burnt taste.
It should be noted that the TFV12 Prince mesh and strip coils are only compatible with the Smok TFV12 Prince tank. I think both coils perform excellently. I know a few people who prefer the strip coil to the mesh coil.
The consensus is that Smok and other makers of vaping hardware need to release more mesh and strip coils.
